Pressing from thin to heavy gauge material, we manufacture products ranging from components for the automotive industry to filtration units. Precision turning and milling for production jobs, OD and ID’s and cutting thread is also done in our factory. Our coded welders’ use the MIG and TIG processes and our development software, tailor-made for fabrication, saves on time and money.

Our products range from waste bins, originally produced for the Albert Luthuli Hospital, to balistrading dome end caps, pots for plants and stainless steel water features. With the increasing trend of stainless steel in architectural aesthetics, we have recently branched out into this area.

We manufacture:

  • Stainless Steel ProductsPressed Collars in the dimension range of outside diameter from 17.2 through to 406.4 and wall thickness from 2mm through to 6mm.
  • Welded Collars and Stub Ends in the dimension range of outside diameter from 17.2 through to 1220 and wall thickness from 2mm through to 30mm.
  • End Caps in the dimension range of outside diameter from 17.2 through to 406 and wall thickness from 2mm through to 10mm. Please Note: End Caps are manufactured in a semi-ellipsoidal shape. They unfortunately at this stage do not have the depth required by specification, thus making them unsuitable for pressure vessels, but suitable for other applications.
  • Segmented Elbows, Concentric and Eccentric Reducers in the dimension range of outside diameter from 33.7 through to 1220 and wall thickness from 2mm through to 16mm.
  • We also offer pressed bends from 100 Id to 250 Id by special request.Threaded Fittings including Nipples, Sockets etc. at DN 6 through to DN 100 in various strengths. Fittings are threaded to BSP or NPT.

We have an in house NC plasma profiling unit and are able to plase. With our NC plasma profiling unit, running off exported CAD generated drawings and advanced Sigma Nest Software, we ensure that the best yield is established from the material with the lowest cost.

Impumelelo Stainless stock a variety of grades of Stainless Steel grades 304L and 316L.
